Our health services
Here we would like to introduce our medical health services:
General preventive medical examination (check-up from 18 years)
A general health check-up (check-up examination) aimed at early detection of disease and other preventive measures. This examination is offered once by statutory health insurance providers between the ages of 18 and 34. It includes a medical history (medical interview), physical examination, and laboratory diagnostics.
(Fasting blood sample to check blood lipids, blood sugar, and urine test)
Cancer screening
A screening test for colorectal cancer is available for all patients over the age of 50. A stool test (iFOBT) can be used to test stool for occult (hidden) blood every two years.
The gold standard remains colonoscopy (colonoscopy) performed no more than twice at 10-year intervals. An exception is patients with a family history of colon cancer. For this special patient group, screening can be performed well before age 50.
In most cases, additional genetic testing is required
Preventive and travel vaccinations
We advise all our patients on the current vaccination recommendations of the Standing Committee on Vaccination (STIKO).
Patients can still arrange a consultation appointment in our practice before a planned trip abroad or by plane to clarify possible health risks in the travel country and vaccination recommendations (this consultation is not part of the GKV benefits catalogue and can be arranged as an individual health service).
Chronic disease programs (DMP)
We offer special chronic disease management programs (DMP = Disease Management Program) of the GKV.
These programs include regular documentation and practice presentations for patients with CHD (coronary heart disease), diabetes mellitus type II, asthma/COPD (chronic obstructive pulmonary disease) at

Patients with type 2 diabetes mellitus visit the practice two to four times a year. A fasting blood sample is taken to determine current fasting and long-term blood glucose levels (HbA1c), a blood lipid profile (total cholesterol, cholesterol subgroups, and triglycerides), and other laboratory tests for general health screening. Height, weight, and body mass index (BMI) are recorded.
We discuss current lab results, medications, and lifestyle with our patients, with the goal of preventing further long-term consequences such as vascular and nerve damage (especially to the kidneys, heart, eyes, and feet). A foot examination is also performed at every appointment, and an ophthalmological consultation is performed once a year.
This data will be forwarded to the health insurance company after the patient has given their consent.
